A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with a series of sexual assaults on patients at a hospital.

Surrey Police launched an investigation following a report of a sexual assault at Frimley Park Hospital in Camberley last November and the force has since received reports of further incidents.

A spokesman said that up to six people had come forward.

Detective Sergeant Gary Hutchings said: "We have specially-trained officers who deal with reports of sexual assaults and I would urge anybody who feels they have ever been a victim of such an incident to report it immediately in the confidence that we will take it seriously and investigate it fully."

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has been released on bail until September 21.
