A 26-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Hoxton.

Police reported that a man was stabbed at an address on Wenlock Road on Saturday.

The following day, Mohammed Gilani, from Wenlock Road, was charged with attempted murder.

Gilani appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates' Court on Monday and is due to appear at Wood Green Crown Court on August 22.

Police did not release any information about the male victim.
