A man raped an 18-year-old student after taking her home from celebrity nightclub Movida, a court was told.
The man allegedly dragged the teenager into his flat despite her fighting to get away. She said her drink could have been spiked with a date-rape drug, Blackfriars crown court heard.
Prosecutor Grace Ong said the alleged victim and a friend met the man at the club in February 2009 and he bought a round of vodkas, but the woman felt unwell after “one or two sips” and began to slip in and out of consciousness.
Her friend later told her he “would take her home” but a taxi took her to his flat.
Ms Ong said he “yanked her out of the cab and dragged her into the building” and her body felt paralysed as before.
The next morning, the court heard, she went to a rape crisis centre but tests found no traces of drugs in her system. She finally went to police in May 2014 to accuse the man of rape. He said she went “crazy” after consensual sex. He denies rape.
The trial continues.
