Missing boy who disappeared in Camberwell found safe and well

A missing 11-year-old schoolboy who disappeared from his south-east London home has been found “safe and well” by a member of the pub;ic.

Corde Gumede-Ngonda vanished about 1am on Wednesday from Grove Park, Camberwell.

The police appealed to the public for sightings of the lad who was wearing a dark blue hoodie with GAP in yellow letters and Nike trainers.

A police statement statement had said: “Corde is believed to have wandered off from his home address.

“His family and officers are increasingly concerned for his welfare.”

But in an update on Wednesday afternoon a police spokesperson said: “He was been found safe and well by a member of the public.”
