A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found with stab injuries.
The woman, believed to be 42, was found with stab wounds at an address in Hillingdon, west London yesterday, Scotland Yard said. Police were called at about 11am but she died at 12.22pm.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder a short time later. The man, who was arrested in Hayes, is in custody at a west London police station.
Scotland Yard said the woman's next of kin have been informed but a formal identification has yet to take place.
A date for a post-mortem examination has yet to be scheduled.
