A bag of cannabis described by police as the size of a “house brick” was pulled out of Regent’s Canal.

Officers on patrol noticed the suspicious looking bag as it floated along the stretch of canal close to Camden Street, north London, at 1.30pm yesterday.

When the packet was seized they found a large quantity of cannabis inside.

A spokeswoman for the police said: “They recovered the bag which was the size of a house brick and it was found to contain herbal cannabis.

"The drugs have been seized and no arrests, enquires continue."
