A station “pest” who tried to gouge a police officer’s eyes out while being arrested has been jailed and banned from key London transport hubs.

Brandon Crozier, 20, was wanted for failing to appear at court in relation to a number of anti-social offences when officers spotted him loitering at Euston Station on May 1.

He ran off as soon as he saw the officers coming towards him and they were forced to give chase.

Upon being caught, Crozier became aggressive and began violently kicking and resisting arrest. He then used his fingers in a bid to gouge out the eyes of the officer who was trying to restrain him, police said.

As more officers arrived in support, one was bitten by Crozier.

He was eventually taken into custody and later charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer.

At Highbury Magistrates’ Court on May 4, Crozier, who lives on Quex Road in Camden, was handed a 10-week prison sentence.

He was also issued a two-year criminal behaviour order which bans him from using King's Cross, St Pancras or Euston stations.

Commander for Euston station, Inspector Tim Tubbs, said: “Crozier was a pest around the Euston and King’s Cross area and we are pleased with the sentence.

"The violence he demonstrated in trying to evade police custody was simply disgusting, resulting in two of my officers being assaulted."

He said: “This order should also be welcomed by members of the public, who will thankfully not have to experience his anti-social and at times, threatening behaviour.

“If anyone spots Crozier in breach of his order they should report it to us immediately by sending us a text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40.”

Crozier is also prohibited from entering any mainline or underground station without intending to travel with a valid ticket, or entering while drunk.
