A teenager is in hospital after being stabbed in a knife attack in east London.
Police were called at just before 6pm on Thursday to reports of a stabbing in Plumstead in Greenwich.
They found an 18-year-old man had been stabbed on Herbert Road, near to the Co-Op shop and junction with Plumstead Common Road.
Paramedics raced to the scene and took the teenager to a south London hospital.
According to the Met Police, the victim remains in hospital but the extent of his injuries is not yet known.
Police reportedly blocked off part of the road between Plumstead Common Road and Eglinton Road while they investigated.
No one has yet been arrested and enquiries continue.
A report released by police earlier this month found knife crime is soaring in London.
According to year-on-year figures, last year saw a 24 per cent rise in the number of knife crime offences.
