Police arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the London Bridge terror attack during an early morning raid.
Counter-terror officers searched a property in Ilford at 1.30am on Wednesday as they continued to investigate Saturday night’s atrocity.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said a man had been arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of terrorist acts.
He was being quizzed at a south London police station on Wednesday morning as a search of the home continued.

The arrest comes as security services face growing questions over their monitoring of the three attackers in the lead up to the attack.
Seven people died and another 48 were left injured when Youssef Zaghba, Khuram Shazad Butt and Rachid Redouane carried out their attack at the weekend.
The three fanatics mowed down pedestrians on the bridge in a van before stabbing people at random in Borough Market.
A cordon on Borough High Street was lifted on Wednesday morning, but the market was still cordoned off as the investigation continued.
On Tuesday, detectives arrested a 27-year-old man in Barking under the Terrorism Act. A separate address in Ilford was also raided.
Twelve other people arrested in connection with the investigation have since been released without charge.
