This is the face of a suspected burglar who used liquid to spray the lens of a CCTV camera before raiding a south London restaurant.

The man’s face was captured when he briefly turned towards the lens before he disabled the CCTV cameras in the Bellevue Rendezvous restaurant in Trinity Road, Wandsworth.

The suspect, described as slim and athletic with short stubble, left with a small amount of cash from the till during the incident in the early morning of Tuesday January 24.

Staff alerted police after arriving at the venue to find the doors had been forced open with a mortice lock ripped out.
