Police investigating an attempted rape in south London have released a photo of a man they want to question.

Officers are advising the public not to approach Gary Kerby, 46, from Brixton, and instead call 999 if he is seen.

At around 22.30pm on Tuesday, a woman in her mid 20s was approached by an unknown man as she walked through Rush Common, off Dray Gardens in Brixton.

He then attempted to rape the victim.

The Met's Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command are investigating.

Witnesses and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or the witness line on 0208 721 4016, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
