Police are hunting a group of young men who left two teenagers with facial injuries in a robbery on a London train.

The 17-year-old friends were attacked after refusing the men’s offer of buying drugs. They were then robbed of their mobile phones and badly beaten.

It happened on the evening of Friday March 8 on the train between Brentford and Chiswick.

Today, British Transport Police released CCTV images of four men they wish to speak to in connection with the attack.

Detective Constable Mark Agrippa, of the BTP robbery squad, said: “The victims, two 17-year-old boys, were travelling on a train between Brentford and Chiswick around 8.30pm.

“During their journey, the boys were approached by four men, who engaged them in conversation, offering to sell them drugs, which they declined.”

“What followed was an extremely violent attack on the victims.

“The boys were viciously punched and stamped on and ordered to empty their pockets of their wallets and phones. The behaviour of the men was extremely intimidating and left both victims with injuries to their faces.”

Anyone with information is asked to call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
