Police officers got more than they bargained for when they were called out to investigate reports of a burglary.

When they arrived at the house in Woodside Road, Tottenham in the early hours of Friday morning they could see no trace of the suspects.

However, when the officers searched the property they discovered something entirely different - a huge cannabis farm.

They also found a notice tacked to the wall with a list of house rules, which included "No smoking anywhere in the house. Even with the door/window open."

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "This cannabis factory was found at 00.35am on Friday, October 23 in Woodside Road, N22 and there have been no arrests.

"Police were called to reports of two men breaking in, no trace of the suspects. The factory was found during the search for the suspects."
