Two police officers were attacked by a man who charged at them with a knife amid a mass brawl in north-east London.
Officers were called to reports of a large fight in Hackney before they were set upon on Friday morning.
One man was stabbed during the altercation, and another received a head injury.
Witnesses told how armed officers swooped on a residential block in Shacklewell, where the fight took place.
Images from the scene show a large police presence in the area as residents watch on.
Stephen Holmes told the Standard: “police SUVs with armed officers approached the residential block.
“They passed through to the very back of the block to a door out of direct eyeshot.
“Bangs went off as I assume they used a ram to open the door, and quickly two men were walked, without protest, back to the main street where by now ambulances and unmarked police cars had filled the street.”
Two men were arrested following the incident at about 7.30am.
The 21-year-old man who attacked the officers was arrested and taken to a north London polices station.
A second man, aged 27, was arrested on suspicion of affray related to the fight, Scotland Yard said. He was rushed to hospital with a head injury.
Another man later presented himself to hospital suffering a stab wound from the fight. Police said his condition is not life-threatening.
A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: “Police in Hackney area continue to deal. Enquiries continue.”
