Police have launched an investigation after a woman was attacked leaving the Central Line Tube near to Ealing Broadway station in west London.
The victim was led down an alleyway and raped by a man - believed aged 20 - after they chatted on a train in the early hours of Sunday, police said.
The incident happened at around 5.10am, in Haven Green, after the victim encountered the perpetrator on the Tube.
A statement from Ealing Police, appealing for information, said: “They started to converse and both left the train at Ealing Broadway station.
“As they walked, the man led her into an alley and carried out the offence.
“The victim is being supported by specialist officers.
“The man is described as having a Mediterranean appearance and was aged about 20.”
There have been no arrests at this time and enquiries continue into the incident in Ealing.
Detective from CASO, the child abuse and sexual offences command, are investigating.
Detective Inspector Daniel Langton, from CASO, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who was travelling on the Central Line from town around 5am or who was in the area at the time of the assault.
“Your information could be of vital assistance to the enquiry.”
