Police have released CCTV footage of a “dangerous” man who escaped via a bus while on escorted leave from a mental unit in south east London.

Officers have warned Leonardo Bokesa, 54, should not be approached by the public after he went missing on Friday.

Video showed Bokesa, with a hood up and carrying a shopping bag, running for a B16 bus in Welling at 11.50am.

He gets on the vehicle, which then drives off in the direction of Woolwich.
