Queen’s Park Rangers footballer Steven Caulker has been arrested and charged for allegedly failing to provide a breathalyser test following a police "incident”.

The 25-year-old former Tottenham defender, from Richmond, was arrested in a Windsor car park early on Sunday morning.

He is earlier reported to have been spotted inside a nearby kebab house.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: “[We] can confirm that Steven Caulker, aged 25, of Richmond, has been charged with failing to provide a specimen for breath analysis required under the Road Traffic Act 1988.

“It is connection with an incident near the Victoria Street Car Park, Windsor this morning.”

The England international has been bailed to appear at Slough Magistrates’ Court on March 27.

It is the fourth time Caulker, who reportedly earns £40,000 a week, has been in trouble with the police.

In February, he pleaded guilty to drunkenly throwing objects at train passengers at Clapham Junction station.

Caulker admitting being drunk and disorderly at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court and was fined £650 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
