Radio DJ Neil Fox has been charged with a string of sexual assaults against young girls and indecent assaults on women.

The television and radio personality, 53, faces nine charges in connection with three victims aged under 16.

He is alleged to have have assaulted the young girls between 1991-1996, Scotland Yard said today.

He also faces two separate sexual assault charges and four indecent assault charges in relation to three victims aged over 16. The incidents are alleged to have happened between 2003 and 2014.

Fox, of Fulham, west London, will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on April 16.

His lawyer Anthony Burton said today he "categorically denied" the allegations against him.

In a statement, he said: "It is wholly inappropriate at this stage for Mr Fox to make any comment, save that he categorically denies each and every allegation that has been made against him."
