Police want to speak to these two men after a video of a suited man being wrestled to the ground and mugged in west London went viral.

The security camera clip was shared by thousands including Piers Morgan and Kevin Pietersen on Wednesday.

The victim, in his 60s, has now been identified.

He told officers he was walking down Burton Court in Chelsea at 8pm on Tuesday when the suspects ambushed him from behind and stole a high-value watch.

The pair, chased by the victim who got up off the pavement, then allegedly ran in the direction of Sloane Square Tube station, where police obtained CCTV images released today.

Officers are keen for anyone who recognises the men in the footage to come forward and speak to them.

Detective Sergeant Jason Anderson, of the Central West Command Unit, said: “The victim in this case was fortunately not injured but has understandably been left shaken by what happened.

“The images we have released are fairly clear and there will be people out there who know who these men are.

“Everyone should feel safe walking around the streets of London and we want to make sure that people who commit these crimes are brought to justice and unable to carry out similar offences in the future.”

Former Good Morning Britain host Morgan said the video of the attack was “absolutely disgusting”.

Ex-England cricketer Pietersen added: “These thugs need locking up! Disgraceful.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting reference 7168/22JUN21, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
