Police are hunting two violent robbers after a man was chocked unconscious and stripped of his £15,000 Rolex watch in a terrifying raid.

The 46-year-old victim was working at a van hire shop in Court Road, Greenwich, at 1.38pm on February 10 when two hooded men stormed into his office.

One of the men placed the victim in a chokehold while the second battled with the man to get his Gold Rolex Yacht Master watch from his wrist.

The victim tried to fight back but was thrown to the ground as they continued to assault him.

After ripping the victim’s watch from his wrist during the 45-second ordeal, the men ran out of the shop towards Middle Park Avenue, where they got into a black Peugeot 206 with another man and a woman.

The victim was left visibly shaken on the ground before he was able to get up and raise the alarm.

Detective Constable Andrew Payne said: “The suspects stood outside the van hire shop in broad daylight for some time, appearing to look at the price list before entering and violently attacking the victim, choking him to the point where he lost consciousness.

“Luckily the victim did not sustain any serious injuries and did not require hospital treatment.

“We have taken the decision to release the footage to show the level of violence used, and ask the public for help in apprehending the persons responsible.
