The victim was allegedly stabbed in the leg just after 3pm.

The Met Police said of the charged teenager: “He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wandsworth Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 18 November.”

They added in a statement: “Three other teenage boys [A - 16yrs, B -15yrs and C -14 yrs] who were arrested on suspicion of GBH have been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in late November.”

Southfields said in a statement on Wednesday: "Last night after school had ended for the day one of our students was allegedly attacked as he made his way home by a group of teenagers who are not pupils at the academy and do not have any connection with the school.

"Our student suffered a stab wound to the lef and is currently being treated in hospital. Fortunately, he is expected to make a full recovery and we are supporting him and his family in every way we can."
