An 18-year-old motorcyclist has died in hospital two days after being seriously injured in a collision in Orpington.

Detectives have today issued a new appeal for witnesses of a collision between the motorbike and a car in Court Road, Orpington around 7.40pm on Saturday.

The motorcyclist, an 18-year-old man from Gravesend, was taken to a south London hospital where he died on Monday, 2 May.

His next of kin have been informed.

The car left the scene but was found by police later on Saturday evening.

A 50-year-old woman, who was arrested in connection with the collision, has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.

They are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident and who has not yet spoken to police, or anyone who has relevant dash cam footage, to call 020 8285 1574, providing the reference 6500/30APR.
