A teenage boy was reportedly stabbed repeatedly just 48 hours after being discharged from hospital following a separate knife attack.

The 16-year-old schoolboy is said to have been knifed by a gang of three attackers in Chingford on Monday evening.

His mother told This is Local London that the attack happened two days after the victim had been discharged from hospital following a separate stabbing just two miles away on Thursday.

Another boy, 15, was also knifed in the attack on Monday evening. Both victims were taken to an east London hospital and neither is thought to have life-threatening injuries.

The 16-year-old's mother, who asked not to be named, said after Monday's attack: "Five of his friends came to see him and were standing outside talking to him.

"A black car pulled up, the driver and two people got out, stabbed my son in both his legs and shoulder.

"The car then screeched off.

"The boys were all running for their lives.

"They are all 16 and studying for their GCSEs, this should not be happening."

The 38-year-old added: "My son has only just left the hospital after being stabbed on Thursday.

"He was stabbed in his left side and arm. They were trying to stab him in the heart but he put his arm down.

"They punctured his liver, he was very critical. I thought I was going to lose him and now this."

Police confirmed they were called to reports of stabbings at around 6.30pm on Monday and 1.30pm on Thursday.

A 17-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man were arrested after the attack in Connington Crescent and both remain in an east London hospital.

There have been no arrests after Thursday's stabbing, which police said is thought to have happened after the 16-year-old was "involved in an altercation with at least three other males."

Anyone with information about the stabbing in Hall Lane on Thursday is asked to call police on 020 3276 0970.
