Three people have been rushed to hospital following a triple stabbing in east London.

A woman in her thirties is fighting for life after she and two men were injured in an attack in Leyton, police said.

Police and the London Ambulance Service raced to Church Road at about 3.35pm on Saturday after receiving reports of a man injured.

Once there, officers found a woman suffering from stab injuries along with two men who had sustained “slash wounds”.

Officers said both the men’s injuries are not life threatening or changing.

The woman's condition, at this stage, has been described as "critical".

A large cordon was put in place around a property following. At this stage, police said no arrests have been made.

The violence comes as another young man was stabbed in east London, just three miles away.

A 26-year-old man was in a critical condition after he was knifed in Field Road, Forest Gate, in broad daylight.

Officers confirmed a man was arrested on suspicion of GBH at the scene and he is in custody at hospital.
