Three men face life sentences after being found guilty of stabbing a 21-year-old man to death during a fight in Ealing.

Alex Henry, 21, of Homefarm Road, Hanwell and Janhelle Grant-Murray, 20, of Upfield Road, Hanwell, were found guilty of murdering Taqui Khezihi on August 6 last year.

Cameron Fergurson, 20, of Ranelagh Road, Southall, previously pleaded guilty to murder and GBH.

Guilty: Cameron Fergurson, 20

On the day of his murder Mr Khezihi was shopping with his older brother and two friends in Ealing.

The Old Bailey heard the three defendants were together in Ealing Broadway shopping centre before Grant-Murray walked into Northcote Avenue, Ealing, where Mr Khezihi and his friends were standing by their car.

An argument broke out and Grant-Murray was allegedly heard on the phone telling someone to “bring knives”. Records show he telephoned another friend, but he denied asking for weapons to be brought to the scene.

The group were followed when they tried to get away, with Henry and Fergurson approaching the scene – Ferguson, at least, was carrying a knife.

Mr Khezihi and his brother were stabbed in the back, before the gang made off in different directions.

An ambulance was flagged down in Gunnersbury Lane, but Mr Khezihi bled to death despite paramedics' efforts to save him.

His brother made a full recovery.

The trio were identified and arrested shortly after.

Detective Inspector Simon Deefholts, from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "This was a vicious attack sparked by nothing more than a trivial argument.

"Grant-Murray instigated a confrontation which erupted into violence when his associates, Henry and Ferguson - at least one of whom was armed with a knife - arrived at the scene.

"Sadly, Taqui didn't stand a chance such was the severity of his injury and he bled to death.

“The jury have found that although not all of them had knives they were equally responsible for Taqui's murder."

All three will be sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court on March 27.

Younis Tayyib, 20, of Northcote Avenue, Ealing, was found not guilty.
