A man, a child, and a police officer were treated in hospital after they were attacked by a dangerous dog in a Romford pet shop.
The dog, believed to be a pit bull, bit the man and the 12-year-old boy in the shop in Rom Valley Way.
Police were called at about 11.30am on Saturday following the incident, and a police officer was also bitten on the leg after she put herself between the animal and the public.
The man and child walked to a nearby hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
The police officer was also taken to hospital, but has since been discharged and is back on duty.
The dog was seized by wildlife crime officers and the owner has been charged over the incident, police said.
PC Anthony Kiddle, Havering's Wildlife Crime Officer said: "The officer showed extreme bravery placing herself in harm's way to protect the public from a danger.
"Owners of dogs who attack any person can expect to be dealt with robustly through the judicial system.
"If you feel you can no longer control your dog there are many organisations that can assist you including the Dogs Trust, RSPCA, Defra and the local council."
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said enquiries were ongoing into the incident.
