A man in his 30s is fighting for his life in hospital after being stabbed in Tottenham in broad daylight.

Police rushed to Tottenham High Road around 11.30am on Thursday to reports two men were fighting.

Officers found a man, thought to be in his 30s, with stab wounds.

Several ambulances and an air ambulance were also called to the scene, and the man was taken to hospital in a “life threatening condition,” said Scotland Yard.

A crime scene remained in place on Thursday evening, and a police investigation was underway.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent a number of resources to the scene, including two ambulance crews, an incident response officer, and a medic in a fast-response car. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“Our first medic arrived in approximately two minutes.

“We treated a person at the scene before taking them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

Anyone with information should call 101 with reference 2769/3AUG.
