A man has been rushed to hospital after a stabbing in north London.

Police were called at around 3.50pm to reports of a stabbing in Jarrow Road, Tottenham.

A male was found at the scene with suspected stab injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Officers await details on his condition, Scotland Yard said.

Pictures taken at the scene show a police cordon in place outside a primary school.

Police have closed the road and people have been asked to avoid the area if possible.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
