Two men have been charged in connection with an anti-Semitic tyre slashing spree in north London.

Huseiyn Seyel, 27, and Steven Truran, 25, are facing charges of racially and religiously aggravated criminal damage after cars owned by members of Stamford Hill's orthodox Jewish community were targeted last weekend.

63 cars were damaged in the spree, most of which were Vovlos and people-carriers, according to Jewish community patrol group Shomrim.

Most of the vandalised cars were parked in Springfield and Cazenove wards, Hackney police said.

Police arrested Seyel, of Atherton Road, Ilford, and Truran, of Eldon Road, Wood Green over the attacks this week.

They are due to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court for a hearing today.
