Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a spate of cars vandalised in north London.

Police investigating damage to at least 15 car wing mirrors in Wembley, confirmed two boys, aged 15 and 16, were held on Sunday on suspicion of criminal damage.

They have both been bailed to a date in mid-April pending further enquiries.

Last month, police released CCTV footage of the suspects.

Officers were called to Harrow Road in the early hours of Saturday, February 6 after a resident said he saw men attack various cars in the street.

Police attended but the men could not be traced.

Enquiries revealed at least 15 vehicles had been damaged in Harrow Road, St Andrews Avenue, Medway Gardens and Priory Gardens.

Their wing mirrors had either been kicked off entirely or the glass and casings were cracked.

Although 15 crimes have been officially reported, police believe more than 30 vehicles may have been affected.

Residents in the area have since reported seeing more cars being damaged.

Officers said they are still appealing for witnesses and information.

Police said they were particularly keen to hear from a man who phoned officers on Wednesday, February 24 with important information before the phone rang off.

Anyone who can help identify the suspects, or who may also have been a victim, is asked to contact police on 101 or Northwick Park Safer Neighbourhoods Team on 020 8721 2969 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
