A 17-year-old boy has been stabbed in Walthamstow, east London, Scotland Yard said.

Police were called to Carisbrooke Road at 6.41pm on Sunday to reports of a stabbing.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a 17-year-old boy with a knife injury.

The force said he has been taken to hospital. His injuries are not said to be life-threatening.

So far there have been no arrests, police said, and a crime scene remains in place.

It comes after five people were stabbed in the space of two hours on a night of bloodshed in London on Friday.

Two 16-year-old boys were among those injured. They were found with knife injuries outside Barking station at about 6pm.

Just over an hour later, two men, aged 19 and 21, were stabbed in Shepherd's Bush after police received reports of a fight.

Then, shortly after 8pm, a man in his early 20s was discovered with stab wounds in Beckenham.

Metropolitan Police asked anyone who witnessed the incident on Sunday night to call police on 101, quoting CAD 5989/03 Nov.
