A man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was seriously injured during a fight early this morning.

Police said the victim, believed to be 30, suffered a life-threatening head injury as a result of a brawl in Ealing Road, Wembley at around 6.30am.

Pictures from the scene show a man receiving treatment outside a hotel yards from Wembley Central Tube station as police closed the road to investigate.

It was unclear how many people were involved in the brawl.

The road remained shut for several hours this morning before it reopened shortly after 11am.

Detectives from Brent CID are investigating.

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
