A young man was seriously injured after he was shot near Wembley Stadium in the early hours of this morning.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after the man was gunned down in Grove Way at about 4.30am.

Three men were arrested after a fight broke out when police and paramedics arrived to treat the victim.

The man, aged in his mid-20s, was taken to a north London hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Three men were arrested for affray in connection to this incident.

“They are currently in custody at a north-west London police station.

"Enquiries continue. Officers from Brent investigate."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
