Police are hunting a man who dragged a woman into an alleyway in the City in an attempted sex attack.

The 25-year-old woman was walking along Leadenhall Street when she was grabbed from behind by a man and pulled into Fenchurch Buildings alley at at 1.20am on Saturday, April 22.

The man ran away after she fought him off.

City of London Police today released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the attempted assault.

Detective Constable Paul Keogh, who is leading the investigation, said: “Fortunately the victim was not physically harmed during the incident but is understandably shaken up by what happened.

"She continues to be supported by specially trained officers as we continue with our investigation.

“I also want to reassure City residents and those who come into the City to work and socialise, that a full investigation is underway.

“We’re now asking the public for their help - if anyone was in the area and saw anything please get in touch.”

Witnesses are asked to call 0207 601 2930 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
