Woman dies after fall down 15-metre-deep well

A woman has died after falling down a 15-metre-deep well at her home.

Police were called to a house in Church Street, Tetbury, Gloucestershire at about 5.45pm on Saturday.

The 58-year-old woman is believed to have fallen down the well around two hours earlier.

A spokesman for Gloucestershire Police said: "Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics were also called to the scene.

"Fire officers recovered the victim's body down the 15-metre-deep well.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious.

"The woman's next of kin and the coroner have been informed."
