Wobbly yoga pose, mistimed rugby tackle or the effects of a Friday night out? This giant sculpture, entitled Alien, was crane-lifted into Belgravia’s Grosvenor Gardens over the weekend.

Creator David Breuer-Weil said it is five times the size of a human to encourage passers-by to think about what normality means. He added: “Every new work of art should be like an alien landing... unexpected.

“My grandfather fled from Vienna after the Nazis took over in 1938 and was labelled an ‘Enemy Alien’ after arriving.”
