Bike worth £4,000 belonging to Team GB athlete stolen from outside sports club

A bicycle worth £4,000 belonging to a GB triathlete has been stolen from outside a sports club.

The modified bicycle, belonging to Claudio Picco, was taken from outside Uxbridge Athletics Club, west London, on October 8.

Police said Mr Picco parked and locked his bicycle outside the club at about 6.30pm but when he returned the bicycle was gone.

The Corratec bicycle, which was built in Germany, is valued at about £4,000.

Police said they are appealing for help in tracking down the thief.

The suspect is described as a man with dark hair who was wearing black clothes.
