Chinese university in White City deal

One of China’s top universities plans to set up a new campus at the BBC’s former site in White City.

Zhejiang University has signed a deal with Imperial College and is in talks to become a major partner at its development in White City. It is understood the site, to be named Imperial West, will include a £150 million research centre supporting the work of up to 3,000 scientists.

Song Yonghua, executive vice-president of ZJU, said he hoped to establish a joint lab with Imperial.
