Police have launched an appeal to find a missing elderly man who walked out of a west London hospital.

Cyril Williams, 89, from Stamford Hill was last seen walking out of Ealing Hospital at 6.20am today and has not been seen since.

Officers described Mr Williams as 'vulnerable' and said they are concerned for his safety and well being.

It is thought he may be trying to return home on foot or by public transport and police said Mr Williams had a Freedom Pass with him.

He is described as black, about 5'5", of frail build and has short black hair.

Upon leaving the hospital, Mr Williams was wearing dark coloured clothing and a dark grey cap.

Anyone who has seen Mr Williams should call Ealing police on 101.
