Cyclist, 60, suffers critical head injuries after crash with fellow rider in west London

A cyclist is fighting for life in hospital after colliding with another rider in south west London.

Police were called to reports of a collision in New King’s Road at the junction with Grimston Road, Fulham, at about 7pm on Monday, November 9.

One of the cyclists, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries and remains in a critical condition.

The second cyclist, a 25-year-old man, stopped at the scene and sustained minor injuries.

He is said to be helping police with enquiries and no other vehicles are thought to have been involved.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Merton Traffic Garage are investigating.

No arrests have been made.
