This is the dramatic moment a motorbike was engulfed in flames in central London this morning.

Black smoke billowed up Regent Street after a motorbike exploded outside Pizza Hut.

A shocked crowd of people gathered around the scene while firefighters battled the blaze.

Mark Bishop, who arrived minutes after the explosion said: "It went on for about 15 minutes, there was quite a lot of black smoke billowing up Regent Street.

"It looked like no-one was hurt, I think the driver had run off or at least was not at the scene."

An LFB spokesman confirmed they were called to the scene at 9.11am.
