Feltham: Person dies after being hit by train at level-crossing in south-west London

A person has died after being hit by a train at a level crossing during rush hour in south-west London.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after the person was struck near Feltham station at about 8.20am.

The station was evacuated and London’s Air Ambulance landed nearby.

British Transport Police said paramedics pronounced the person dead at the scene.

A spokesman added: “The incident is not being treated as suspicion.”

The incident is causing rail disruption, which operator South West Trains said would last until about 1pm.
