A female pedestrian was taken to hospital after a hit and run in south east London this morning.

Police and London Ambulance Service were called to Hanover Park, Peckham, shortly before 11.50am to reports of a collision between a motorcycle and pedestrian.

A woman in her 50s was treated at the scene before being taken to a south London hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A Metropolitan Police Service spokesman said the rider of the motorcycle failed to stop at the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone with information should call Southwark police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
