A man has died after being hit by a Tube train at Finsbury Park.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a southbound Victoria Line train at the north London station just before 10.45am.
British Transport Police said his death was not being treated as suspicious.
Commuters were evacuated from the station but some passengers were stuck in the tunnel between Seven Sisters and Finsbury Park.
One of them said on Twitter she was stranded for an hour before being walked off the train by emergency services, who handed out water.
She said: "They walked us off the train in the end onto the platform flanked by a row of silent fire fighters and ambulance staff blocking the view to the tracks and then hiding the body with a blue screen."
Police said they are trying to identify the man.
A BTP spokesman said: "BTP officers were called to Finsbury Park Underground station to reports of a person hit by a southbound Victoria Line train.
"We attended the incident, reported at 10.44am, alongside colleagues from the Metropolitan Police Service.
"Medics from London Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead.
"Officers are now working to identify the man and inform his family.
"A file will be compiled for the coroner."
A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 10.43am to reports of someone on the tracks, we sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, our hazardous area response team and London's Air Ambulance.
"Sadly the patient was pronounced dead at the scene."
