High-risk schoolboy, 11, missing from Hackney is found ‘safe and well’

A schoolboy missing overnight from east London has been found safe and well.

Family and friends launched a frantic search along with police for Francis, 11, was last seen in the Shacklewell area of Hackney about 7pm on Wednesday.

Police described the schoolboy as high risk and released a photo of him in his uniform.

The force described Francis as wearing blue shorts and a black puffa jacket when he vanished.

On Thursday afternoon Hackney Police confirmed on their Twitter account he had been found.

They wrote: “We would like to thank everyone for their re-tweets and their concern for 11 year old #missingperson Francis. We are pleased to inform you that he has been #found safe and well.”
