A theatre in south London has been left damaged after a fire broke out in the building this morning.
Cleaners called the London Fire Brigade after finding smoke coming from the box office of fringe-theatre venue Kennington Ovalhouse, just before 7am.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters were called to the scene and brought the blaze under control by 8.30am.
London Ambulance Service also attended but there were no reports of any injuries.
The box office, located on the ground floor, was left damaged by flames.

Station manager Paul Hobbs, who was at the scene, said: “The fire affected the theatre's box office and was discovered by cleaners on the site.
“There was a lot of smoke and firefighters worked extremely hard in hot conditions to bring the fire under control.”
The theatre, located opposite the Kia Oval cricket ground, is known for showcasing experimental and off-West End shows.
