Gogglebox star Sandi Bogle has told how the “unbearable” pain of losing her nephew in a brutal knife attack will stay with her “forever”.

Bjorn Brown, 23, died in hospital on Monday after being stabbed repeatedly in Thornton Heath, south London, five days earlier.

He attempted to cycle away from the scene in Kelling Gardens before collapsing nearby where he was found bleeding heavily by a passer-by.

Ms Bogle, 51, who starred in several series of the hit Channel 4 show with best friend Sandra Martin, also called for the killers to come forward.

She said: “I couldn’t speak when I got the phone call.

“He was at my sister’s house not long before [the attack]. She called me the day before he died and his condition was normal.

Sandi Bogle has spoken out over the death of her nephew

“You don’t realise or notice anything until it is on your doorstep . When that happens the pain you get, there are not words. It is unbearable and it stays with you forever.

“They are not just destroying one person, they are destroying a whole family, plus friends, aunties, uncles. It affects everybody.”

Addressing the killers she added: “I would say come forward. I want you to do the right thing. You might have thought you didn’t expect to cause such damage, but you did.

“So be the big man about it and hand yourself in. There’s a light at the end of this tunnel and you can’t keep running forever. Your comeuppance will come and karma is watching.”

A vigil was held for Bjorn, also known as Bugz, on Monday night where dozens of shocked friends and family gathered in nearby Bensham Lane, where he was found at about 8.30pm last Wednesday.

Rap star Stormzy also paid an emotional tribute after revealing the victim was a friend.

He tweeted: “Woke up to hear a childhood friend of mine ain’t with us anymore R.I.P Bugz.”

Croydon borough commander Chief Superintendent Jeff Boothe said police will do “everything within their powers” to trace the killers.

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to call police on 0208 761 4961 Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via Twitter
