Hammersmith crash: Woman killed in collision with bus outside Tube station

A woman has died after being hit by a bus outside a Tube station in west London.

The elderly pedestrian, 78, was killed after she was struck outside Hammersmith Broadway Tube station on Sunday evening.

Police and paramedics were called to the crash at about 5pm.

Medics fought to revive her for 30 minutes but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her next of kin are in the process of being informed, Scotland Yard said.

The bus driver stopped at the scene and was assisting police.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
