Last-minute shoppers seen scrambling to buy gifts in London's busy Oxford Street on Christmas Eve

Last-minute shoppers were seen racing to buy gifts on Christmas Eve in London’s busy Oxford Street.

The popular shopping street was filled with people dashing to the shops to buy presents for their loved ones on Sunday.

Crowds were seen piling in and out of shops on the high street amid the rush to buy gifts before closing time.

The mad scramble on Christmas Eve is something of a tradition, with disorganised buyers leaving all their shopping until the last moment.

Sunday trading hours means large shops will close early today as shoppers continue to flood the capital’s shopping streets.
