Forecasters are predicting heavy wind and rain will lash the capital before the white stuff arrives as early as 6pm on Friday.
Netweather shows a 30 per cent chance of snow on Friday followed by an 80 per cent chance on Saturday.
Snowflakes will make their way towards London from the Welsh coast, according to WX Charts.
However, Grahame Madge told the Evening Standard it is very unlikely that the snow will fall in the city.
“Wintry showers, including snow, will be a feature of the UK forecast until the weekend,” he said.
“However, wintry conditions will remain largely confined to northern hills above 300m.
“Away from the Scottish Highlands, the Lake District, and the north Pennines, there is very little scope for wintry conditions, especially not for lower levels in southern England.”

Thursday is expected to kickstart with cloud and rain in coastal areas amid bright and sunny spells in London with a maximum temperature of 7C.
A Met Office spokesperson said: “Conditions turning very unsettled Friday and Saturday with gales, rain or showers, these perhaps wintry at times especially on higher ground.
“Mostly dry Sunday, with winds slowly easing. Feeling cold.”
Moving into next week, rain and strong winds are expected to move in from the west or northwest.
London can still expect some brighter and drier weather although there remains the risk of gales at times.
Temperatures will be milder in the south but remaining mostly rather cold in the north with a risk of hill snow as well as frost and ice.
